Does What You Say Really Matter

For the past week or so, I have been really thinking about this postulate. (Probably because I have been struggling in this area) I was really confused about how what you say could possibly dictate what will happen. What I realized was that you really start to believe the things that come out of your mouth. When you speak negatively, you begin to have a negative outlook on life. When you speak positively, you begin to have a positive outlook on life and things all of a sudden don’t seem as bad as you thought they were.
When having a bad day, a positive disposition can change it. It’s making the choice to be positive in the midst of everything going wrong that is the hard part. I’m finding that it’s so worth it!
My pastor, Jerry Snider, preached a message on how “You don’t just end up in a negative season, you talk yourself into it”!
I have seen in my own life how easily one bad day can turn into two bad days, which turns into, “I don’t know the last time I had a good day”. The easier approach? CHOOSING to speak positivity and blessings over your life.
