A Fulfilled Destiny

When I first arrived at LSU, I knew very few people. I met Lauren within the first few days that I was on campus, and she told me that I needed to Rush Phi Lamb. I told her that I really wanted to get settled in Baton Rouge before I joined anything, but she refused to take "no" for an answer! She texted me and told me that she would be picking me up for Rush that night. As much as I wanted to decline the offer, I accepted. Lauren picked me up and told me that I was going to love being a part of a group of girls that loved Jesus. She was absolutely correct.

As I was reflecting on our time together, I realized just how much of an impact she had on my life. If Lauren hadn't pushed me to Rush Phi Lamb, there are areas of my life that wouldn't have healing, there are incredible relationships that wouldn't have been formed, and there is so much growth in God that would have been stunted. Her small act of obedience to God CHANGED my life. To my Phi Lamb Sisters and anyone else reading, I want to encourage you to be passionate about and obedient to God. Lauren's obedience changed my life. Your "yes" to God is not just for you; it's for the people who need to experience God's love and amazing grace. It's for the girl that needs the push towards community and for the girl who is too scared to step out to grab freedom and healing for herself.

Lauren, you've made it. You fulfilled your destiny on Earth. Thank you so much for being an incredible friend and bringing joy to my life. You were a shining star, and my life was changed because of YOU. Well done, my love. Rest in the sweet arms of our Savior.
