Until today, I had never seen this piece of scripture. Although it seems to be “just” another promise God made to the people of Israel, something else immediately struck me after reading it.
I had to ask myself if I am merely holding on to the pain in my life, or if I am aware of and welcoming the new promises God is trying to give to me. Am I currently blinded by the pain that will eventually subside while simultaneously missing out on a huge blessingfrom God? If I am being honest with myself, the answer is probably yes. God showed me today that the pain of my past is NOT worth missing out on a blessing for today and for my future.
So with this scripture, I take a promise. I take assurance in the fact that God is for me, and if I stick with Him, We’ll always win!
I think it’s important to remind ourselves that pain is not the end of the story. Take a step back and see what new thing God is trying to birth in you.
