Judas, one of his disciples, received money in exchange for Jesus. Judas and the soldiers came into the garden to take Jesus captive. When Judas spoke to Jesus, Jesus said to him, "Friend, do what you came to do." (Matthew 26:50)
When I read that, my mind was blown!!! Jesus, knowing what Judas was about to do, still called him friend. How incredible? God spoke to me and said, "Amaris, why are you hanging yourself over the things for which I've already extended My grace to you?" Even when we sin... Even when we betray Jesus for self-seeking and fleeting pleasures, God still calls us His friend! I was encouraged to take the rope from around my neck and find freedom in God's grace and love! I encourage you to do the same. Happy Friday!
